Chapter 5.1

In the last chapter Katie was able to win a chess match against the grim reaper to keep her mom, Melanie, around for awhile longer. Daniel, Melanie's husband, has been gone for a number of years already but she should have a good few years left ahead of her. After all she does have four children and one grandchild to keep her busy.
Her oldest Heidi is always stealing candy from her grandson, Jaedon. Poor baby, he'd be scared for life if he was actually old enough to remember any of Heidi's evil doings.
Her son, Aaron, has found a nice woman he likes to spend time with. She's a bit older then him but Melanie is just glad there's a sim out there that can put up with Aaron's dare-devilish ways.
Her other son, Bobby, makes a great uncle to Jaedon. Whenever Jaedon's not quite asleep and Katie's too tired to hold him, Bobby steps in and helps out.
Oh, noes! I thought we got rid of the roaming ghost problem...guess not. Dmitri, Melanie's son-in-law and Katie's husband, is clearly sitting right next to Eddie's ghost. His ghost looks a bit different since he's in swimwear but I'm sure it's him with those ugly sunglasses. Someone suggested putting a pond up around the graveyard so I may just have to try it. So far it hasn't been a big deal since there's only been a few ghosts who have escaped the closed in fence.
Bobby is also seeing a woman who's slightly older then him. Everything for these two are going spectacularly well. They are both hopeless romantics and can't get enough of each other.
I definitely see a long and happy future for them.
Speaking of happy futures, Katie is pregnant with her second child. Dmitri couldn't be happier since he wants to raise from children from babies to teens and so far they just have Jaedon. Soon another baby will be kicking and screaming for Dmitri to take care of.
Heidi recently got engaged to her boyfriend, Jonathan, and has since moved in with him. I wanted to get her pregnant before she made the move but that wasn't possible since the current legacy house was too full with Katie's expectant baby on the way. They'll probably never get married or have any children since my game hates me :(
With his love of the outdoors and dislike for children, Aaron really should have been the heir. He fits the Roland family description so well. I'll miss seeing him or just anyone for that matter shake their booty for the sprinkler when he moves out on his own. I'll always have the memories though and nobody can take that from me.
Ooo...who's birthday is it today and where are they?
Hmph! It was Jaedon's but he never made it to the cake in time. I don't know why I ever send my sims out to buy a birthday cake because by the time they make it home and put it on the table the birthday sim has already grown up. I'm so bad at timing these things! Jaedon's a cutie though, huh?
Aaron: "Hey babe, want to see some crazy!?!"
Alaine: "Um, okay. I guess if I could watch you eat dirt without throwing up I can handle anything."
Aaron: "Promise? I really don't want you fainting or anything like that."
Alaine: "I'll do my best."
Aaron: "Okay, here it goes...will you make me the happiest man alive and be my wife?"
Alaine: "Oh my gosh, yes, of course I'll marry you! I can't imagine my life without you. I never have to worry about having a dull moment while your around. You keep my life so interesting!"
Aaron: "Phew! I'm so glad you said yes. Of all the crazy things I've done, this was definitely the most scary."
Later that afternoon, Katie went into labor. She rushed to the hospital and safely delivered another baby boy. Ethan is excitable and a light sleeper.
After hearing Alaine said yes to his brother, Bobby knew it was time for him to propose to Johanna. He had been a little nervous at first but deep down he always knew Johanna would say yes. Still, hearing her say it felt much better then him hearing it in his head.
Sadly, Melanie would never get to see her sons get married to the women of their dreams. Grimmy decided it was time for her to join Daniel in the after life. Her children didn't want to say good bye yet.
And neither did Melanie for that matter. I never paid much attention to how the sim reacted to grimmy coming for them but both Daniel and Melanie begged for their lives at the end. Doesn't it just break your heart? Melanie was in her early to mid 90's when she died. I thought she would have lived longer since she accomplished the marathon runner skill challenge but I guess not. Maybe her close encounter with death a short while ago played a part in that though.
Get ready to see a lot of pictures with Dmitri in his undies. I don't know why but I swear he never changes into anything else. As long as he's a loving and doting father I don't really care though. I should have him spend a little time working on his muscles though so we could have some real eye candy. He's already easy on the eyes but some muscles never hurt anyone.
Yep, he's a natural genius and virtuoso people. I wonder if Mozart chewed on his xylophone toys like Jaedon's doing here.
Little Ethan's starting to catch up with his big brother. He's so excited that he can chew on toys like Jaedon now. I'm sure it was only a matter of moments before he started gnawing on this one.
LMAO!!! Look at Bobby's work outfit. I put him in the science field and this is how he came home after a couple promotions. I'm not sure exactly which level he's at but where's the flood, dude? Those pants really need to be a bit longer!
There's a crowd gathering at the legacy lot, that must mean there's a party of some kind. And nope, it's not a birthday party either. I wouldn't make them dress in formal wear for that. Dmitri may not be dressed appropriately but at least he's not in his undies either.
Bobby: "Jeffry, will you be my best man?"
Jeffry: "Er...what about your brother? Shouldn't he be your best man?"
Bobby: "He's got plans of his own tonight...what do you say?"
Jeffry: "Sure, I mean yes. I would be honored. I really hope your brother doesn't try to kick my butt for this."
Bobby: "Trust me, he's fine with it."
As Bobby and Johanna exchanged their wedding vows their friends and family cheered them on. Tammi, Daniel's aunt is off on the right. It looks like she's doing just fine for herself.
Meanwhile, Aaron and Alaine enjoyed a nice quiet ceremony in the backyard over looking the family's garden. Aaron hadn't necessarily always dreamed of this moment but whenever he thought about getting married it was always outdoors. The happy couple agreed a private ceremony was what they wanted. Aaron enjoyed the spotlight but this moment he wanted to keep between him and his bride.
After the weddings were over, both couples moved out on their own. A short while later Katie learned she was pregnant again. She knew the difference between the stomach flu and morning sickness and this was definitely morning sickness.
Luckily, Jaedon's getting a little older so he might be able to help his parents out a bit with the new baby coming. Boy, is he going to be a force to reckon with when he's older, he added ambitious to his list of traits. Mozart eat your heart out!
Dmitri: "How's your shoulders doing? Am I pressing in the right spot?"
Katie: "That feels so good. Don't stop rubbing there."
Dmitri: "Oh Katie, I can't wait to welcome our new baby into this world."
Katie: "Me neither! At least then my shoulders and back will stop aching."
Katie went straight to the hospital when she started feeling labor pains. Dmitri followed after her as soon as a baby sitter was called to watch after their sons. They never could have imagined the surprise they were in for though.
As the taxi drove them home to where their sons were being watched by a neighborhood boy they stared at each other in shock and slight horror. Both were utterly speechless. This was not something they were prepared for.
Calista had come out first. She's a bit neurotic but a genius.
Juliet quickly followed her. She's artistic and a little insane.
Katie was not done yet though. Valarie was the third and fortunately the last baby born that day. Valarie is athletic and good.

In case anyone is wondering how I got triplets and would like to endure the difficulties of taking care of three babies/toddlers at once, here's what I did. First, I made sure both parents had the fertility treatment reward. Then I made sure childrens music was playing in the kitchen and the family room where Katie spent most of her time while pregnant. Last but not least, I made sure she watched a lot of children's tv, which was super easy since she's a couch potato. The result was triplets!
With the new additions to the family, Ethan's crib was moved to Jaedon's room. Jaedon is not very happy about the new situation, especially when he's rudely awaken by Ethan's screaming.
Proof that there really are three babies in the house. Lucky me! At least Katie doesn't have to have any more babies to fulfill Dmitri's LTW.
Like father like son. Ethan and Dmitri both like to just wear their underwear around the house. Thankfully, they don't have too much company so it's not that big of a problem.
Dmitri's not only a stay-at-home dad at the moment but he's also the family handyman. He's always fixing broken tubs and the teleportation pad. Hopefully, he won't get electrocuted like Melanie did in the last chapter. Katie would never survive raising five children by herself.
Katie was getting a bit stir crazy from being cooped up in the house on maternity leave so she volunteered to teach an art class at the local school. Not only did it give her an excuse to leave the house, but she earned a few simoleans in the process. Jaedon was not too pleased to see his mom teaching one of his classes though.
Ethan was always doing silly things as a toddler, like hiding in his toy chest. Katie worried that he'd hurt himself some how but he managed to escape toddlerhood without much more then a scratch.
Would he be able to do the same as a kid though? Especially since he added daredevil to his list of traits. Katie will have to keep an even closer eye on him now and that won't be easy with three babies to take care of as well.
Dmitri and Jaedon are both genius', but neither has played too much chess. Something tells me this will be a long match. At least Dmitri will get a break from changing dirty diapers for awhile.
Katie doesn't mind giving Dmitri a break from the triplets. They are a handful but they're all loved very much. Of course, life will settle down more once they grow up a bit.
The toddler years are bound to prove more difficult then their baby years. There is just so much to teach them early on that Dmitri and Katie will be busy nearly none stop.
Katie's finally going back to work so she won't be able to help as much as she'd like. Poor Dmitri will have his hands full. Fortunately, he may have a helper in Jaedon.
Jaedon has grown up into a teenager and can officially help out with his little sisters. Like most teenagers he'll probably be hard to find when it's time to help though. He added never nude to his list of traits.

Chapter 5

I ended the last chapter with this generations heir poll. Unfortunately, Heidi was not chosen as heiress. She was one of my favorites too. She became a young adult the same night Bobby and Aaron became teens and added angler to her list of traits. I really should have randomized the trait again because seriously what kind of sim who hates the outdoors would actually like fishes. Her LTW is to swim in cash which I'm fairly confident I can do that quickly.
In the meantime though, since she's evil and a mooch I thought I could put her in the criminal career and start her working towards becoming a future thief.
Tammi's, Daniel's aunt, is still living in the legacy house waiting for her high school boyfriend to become a young adult. She's steadily moving up in the journalism field.
I tell you she's pure evil! I sent her out to find a potential future spouse and this is what she does. There are so few young adult males in this town at the moment and everyone she's met has the good trait. Can we say yeah, right!?! Her options are seriously limited. I suppose it's a good thing she's not the heiress this gen but she's still one of my favs!
Tammi needed to write a review for her next promotion so she interviewed her boyfriend to get the scoop on current teen activities in the neighborhood. She considered writitng a negative review on the "goods" he provided but ultimately, she decided against it. He probably wouldn't have like that very much and he was her ticket out of her nephews home. She definitely didn't want to blow her chances on that!
Melanie decided to go visit her brother, Dante, but he was asleep when she showed up. Brianna, her niece, was happy to give her the scoop on him. Her mother had past away a few years ago and Dante had never really been the same ever since. He was always some what of a lose cannon but he'd gotten worse in his later years. Brianna assured Melanie she was keeping a close on him and that she had nothing to worry about.
Katie made her relationship with Dmitri official. They had been best of friends for the longest time and only recently had taken their relationship to the next step, but it felt so natural they didn't see the need to slow down at all. Katie was already fantacisizing about their future wedding as am I since she's going to be the heiress this generation.
Aaron's my other favorite this generation. He loves the outdoors like every good Roland should and he's a daredevil. I've actually seen him eat dirt to be daring...LOL!!! Oh well, I'm sure Katie will do a good job as heiress plus she already has a spouse picked out so even better!
Heidi: "Did you see mom's latest game?"
Katie: "Yeah, I was there. She was awesome."
Heidi: "I watched in on tv and she sure can move for an old lady."
Katie: "Just don't let her here you calling her old. She might kick your butt!"
Heidi: "Ha! She probably could too."
Bobby's probably my least favorite from this generation but he's proven to be a useful asset. As a computer whiz he was able to improve the graphics on the computer. Although, I haven't noticed any benefits from this upgrade, but whatever.
Heidi: "What the heck was that for?"
Melanie: "I overheard you calling me an old lady!"
Heide: "Ah, c'mon...it's not like your a spring chicken or anything."
Melanie: "Keep it up and I'll scare you all over again!"

Oh, noes! I knew Daniel was older then Melanie but I didn't realize his time was already up. He was playing his guitar for tips in front of city hall when the grim reaper came for him. Had I known, I would have sent him home so he could have been surrounded by family.
Apparently, I wasn't the only one who didn't want Daniel to leave so soon. Poor guy! He never got a chance to reach his LTW of becoming a hit movie composure so he received the small tombstone. He left behind a wife, an aunt and four children. May he rest in peace.
Aaron: "Dude, Jeffry, you are such a LOSER! I don't know why my brother even hangs out with you."
Katie: "Isn't that a little extreme?"
Aaron: "EXTREME is my middle name!"
Bobby: "Knock it off, Aaron. Don't be such a jerk!"
Aaron: "Wooo, that was such a rush!"
Aaron may not get along very well with Jeffry but he doesn't mind hanging with Dmitri. Aaron's taking a nap because he dared himself to pull an all nighter and is completely exhausted after a long day of school. Dmitri doesn't seem to mind. He must have lots of homework to catch up on since he's been spending so much time with Katie lately.
Yay! Vicente has finally become an adult which of course means Tammi and him got married right away. Tammi now lives with Vicente and his family.
It's a good thing that's only a single bed behind them, otherwise I might be a little worried where their kissing might lead. These two are nearly inseparable now that they took their relationship past friendship. Finally, Heidi found a guy in the neighorhood who's not good. He does love the outdoors while she hates it but that's not too big a deal. Unfortunately, he's an adult already but her pickings are slim so he'll have to do regardless of how old he really is.
Heidi met Jonathon at work as a criminal so the two must have something in common. I really couldn't believe how many male young adults were good in the neighborhood. It was ridiculous!
Melanie isn't taking elderhood too well. Ever since her last birthday she's been very concerned about getting wrinkles and looking tired all the time. Daniel used to be able to soothe her worries but now that he's gone she's always checking herself out in the mirror. Personally, I think she looks great for her age.
Oopsie! I forgot about Tonya. Bobby decided to clean out her tank when Aaron was sleeping. Even though his brother could be a pain in his rear sometimes he didn't want him to see Tonya this way. It would be better if he pictured her as a happily swimming fish.
Bobby: "Have you heard about the new expansion pack for the sims 3?"
Jeffy: "Not really. What's it about?"
Bobby: "It's called World Adventures. I guess you can take your sims on adventures in unique parts of the world."
Jeffry: "Oh, that's cool."
Katie may be all grown up but that doesn't mean she knows how to open a dresser door. This is the second time I've seen a non-clumsy sim fall over opening a dresser.
After recomposing herself, Katie manages to find some clothes in her favorite color yellow. She added good as her fifth trait. That's perfect since Dmitri is good too.
Well, Heidi's angler so I figured she could do some fishing even if she hates the outdoors. She was very pleased to have caught this tiny little minnow. I don't really see much fishing in her future though.
Katie wasted no time proposing to Dmitri. She was so sure they were meant to be and didn't want to waste any valuable time. They set their wedding for a couple days later in the park with their family and friends.
To celebrate their engagement Dmitri took them out to the local bistro for a romantic dinner for two. After a lovely dinner the couple departed to spread the good news to their family. There wasn't much time to plan a wedding but they would pull it off.
Meanwhile, Aaron decided to sneak off to the cemetary. As he wandered around looking for adventure he gathered some seeds he saw laying around.
He was hoping some ghosts would come out to play but since none were he decided to check out the masoleum.
Unfortunately, it didn't go so well. I can't remember what exactly happened but as you can see it wasn't good. Aaron didn't mind much though. He's thrilled by anything that can give him a good adrenaline rush!
Back at the house Heidi was getting cozy with her "friend". After Katie announced that Dmitri and her were having a wedding party, Heidi invited Jonathon to accompany her. Maybe this'll help take their relationship to the next step without Heidi having to be too pushy.
A couple days later it was time for the wedding. Many of the Roland's extended family were invited, including Dante and his daughter, Brianna, as well as some close friends of the couple.
Melanie was not pleased to see her brother, Dante, wearing underwear to her daughters wedding.

Melanie: "Look, I know you're insane and that makes you wear inappropriate clothing but this is a wedding! My daughter's wedding! Don't you have enough sense to wear something other then your freaking underwear."
Dante: "Why do sims always insist on wearing nice clothing to weddings anyways? We all have underwear on underneath anyways. Imagine the simoleans that could be saved that way."
Melanie: "Augh! You're hopeless!"
While most of the sims at the wedding party were dressed their best a couple other sims besides Dante weren't, including the groom! It turns out Dmitri along with Jonathon are inappropriate. Ah, you gotta love insane and inappropriate sims.
Luckily, Katie was able to look past Dmitri's poor choice in clothing. The two are officially married. Let the party begin!
For the next several hours everyone danced, laughed and had a good time. All good things must come to an end though. The party started to dissolve as the sun started to set but it wasn't a party anyone's likely to forget soon.
Neither Aaron or Bobby really knew any girls their own age, but that was starting to change. The past few days at school they were starting to meet new sims and a couple of them just happened to be female. They've both been on the phone with them quite a lot lately.
Dmitri and Katie certainly didn't waste anytime getting the next generation started. No surprise there since Dmitri's LTW is to raise five babies to teens.

For those who are wondering Dmitri's traits are can't stand art, good, inappropriate, genius and easily impressed.
Anyone wonder what happened to Chloe after she moved out of the house? Well, apparently not much. She never got married or had kids. I really was expecting some more movement in the lives of my legacy spares but for the most part they just move out and get old. That's no fun. I wish they'd do something exciting with their lives.
Katie's pregnancy is moving right along and Dmitri couldn't be more excited. Katie's always wanted babies but not five of them. She's worried with all her mandatory days off from work if she'll ever reach her LTW to become an international super spy.
My game is seriously glitched which totally sucks! When Aaron invited this lovely young lady to the park a few minutes ago she was a teen, but poof, she's suddenly a young adult. It's not the end of the world seeing how the boys are becoming young adults soon but that doesn't change the fact that my game seems to be messed up. Grr!
The exact same thing happened to Bobby when he invited his teenage lady friend out. I guess these boys won't be having their first kiss until their young adults.
Please welcome baby, Jaedon into the sim world. He's a virtuoso and a genius. Maybe he'll become the next Mozart.
Yeah, Heidi is definitely evil in case anyone was beginning to doubt that. After her poor, elderly mother was just electrocuted trying to repair the teleportation pad she goes ahead and scares her. How terrible!
After her first failed attempt, I sent Melanie back to finish her repair on the teleportation pad. Big mistake! Next thing I know she's being electrocuted again and grimmy shows up. Crap! Melanie even completed the marathon runner skill challenge so she's suppose to live longer then normal.
Some how Katie managed to challenge grimmy to a chess match. If she won her mother would be given a second chance at life. If not she would be gone to them forever. Katie was the most experienced chess player in the house so she had the best chance at beating him.
Score! She beat him. Melanie will live to see another day. Unfortunately, she lost her job in the athletic career but who cares as long as she can live.
Later that day it was time for the twins to grow up. Aaron added perfectionist to his list of traits.
Bobby added hopeless romantic to his list of traits which just so happens to be one of his new "lady" friends traits. How perfect!
